Review: JungleScout for Amazon sellers

junglescout reviewIf you're an Amazon seller who sources wholesale or private label products, you'll want to check out my video review of JungleScout software (a Chrome Extension). I am an affiliate of JungleScout so I receive compensation if you buy it via my link.

JungleScout is for U.S.-based Amazon sellers (although they are working on a U.K. version too)

I call it 'x-ray' software to find 'pockets of opportunity' within Amazon. See, if you want to compete effectively with wholesale and/or private label products, you need to get an accurate snapshot of the volume and sales of top sellers in your niche. JungleScout helps you do that in minutes (before JungleScout, it took hours).junglescout

In my video**, I show how I spent just a few minutes with JungleScout (the regular $87 version) and found two products that I could dominate.

JungleScout has a 30-day money back guarantee, but I'm extending that to 'anytime' so you can really be confident in your purchase. Here's how that works:  Try JungleScout for $87 or JungleScout Pro for $147. If you decide it’s not for you within their own 30-day guarantee period, contact them at support@junglescout.com for a full refund. If, after 30 days, you decide JungleScout is not for you,  forward your email receipt (the receipt you received via email when you purchased JungleScout) to me at: jordanmalik@gmail.com with the subject "Refund JungleScout", include your Paypal email address, and I’ll refund you 100% out of my own pocket, no questions asked, via Paypal. You just have to buy it via my affiliate link right here . (I make a small amount of $ for the referral.)

Good luck and let me know what you think of JungleScout.

** Two (2) CLARIFICATIONS: 1.) This review is for JungleScout ($87US), not JungleScout Pro ($147). JungleScout Pro ($147) was not released yet when I did this video. 2.) My video mentions that JungleScout's updates are free, I forgot to say that the updates are free for 1 year, as per the publisher (JungleScout).

    hi jordan,

i can’t seem to find your affiliate link or code for the referral programm. when i click on the links provided in your article it just brings me to the standard jungelscout site “http://www.junglescout.com/” ?

    thanks for your help 🙂

Lou thank you for writing. The link to Junglescout (http://jordanmalik.com/js) is ‘transparent’ meaning it redirects you and tracks you (it knows you were directed there from my site) but from your (user) perspective you don’t see anything different than as if you went directly to JungleScout.com

oh that’s what threw me off – thanks for the info! purchasing it as we speak 🙂

Hi Jordan, can you import a list of ASINs into jungle scout then run the analysis on them? Thanks for the great video. Chris

Chris – to my knowledge, no it can’t do that, but you should check with support@junglescout.com . Sounds like a great feature they may be able to incorporate in a future edition?

Can you please tell me, if I purchase the software once can I use it on both my Mac and PC or will I have to purchase the software twice?

  • Premo Sewnunan August 4, 2015, 4:51 pm

    Hey Jordan,

I got the software over a month back and it was promised that future upgrades will be free.

Jungle Scout just emailed me about the “Pro” upgraded version which is an additional $60.

I am sure you will agree, this isn’t right. I have addressed it with Greg, awaiting his feedback.

Keep on with the great work. Always look forward to your posts.

    • Jordan Malik August 4, 2015, 6:07 pm

I am not sure what Greg’s response will be, but JungleScout ($87) and JungleScout Pro ($147) are two different offerings. If you got the JungleScout ($87 version), future updates (within 1 year) to the software will be free. So if they update JungleScout (the $87 version), there is no charge for that if the updates occur within 1 year of your purchase. JungleScout Pro is a different offering.

Jordan, Thanks for the great podcasts and website. Do you find Jungle Scout to be equally valuable for finding RA, OA and wholesale opportunities as well?

    • Jordan Malik June 15, 2015, 5:00 pm

As I mentioned in the video, it’s ideal for wholesale, importing, and private label.

I love Jungle Scout. I’ve been using it for about a week and have found 2 potential products. Prior to this I had been looking through sub-categories and ending up totally confused and with little to show for it.
Jungle scout is a wonderful time saver and has to be the best tool I’ve used to date. What’s even better, there’s no monthly fees!

Thanks for the consistently great info Jordon. Jungle Scout is tempting, but isn’t it really just software that provides an “educated guess?” AMZ locks up their sales data pretty tightly, so an $87 “best guess” software needs more features before I’ll buy it. Thanks again! Rob

    • Jordan Malik June 13, 2015, 2:45 pm

If it’s an educated guess it’s a relative one (if the actual revenue for product X in the research is off the ‘real number we’ll never know’ by, say, 25%, well then product Y as calculated by JungleScout is also off by 25%. I think JungleScout is far more valuable than just an ‘educated guess’ tool. Also beware he may raise the price in the future, people who buy it now are locked in for life (1x charge, nothing more to pay)
